A man suspected of threatening a pregnant woman at knifepoint, tying her up and robbing her northwest Portland jewelry store was arrested Wednesday night at the Lloyd Center Mall.

Eric Eno, 31, is not only accused of robbing Little Things Jewelry Shop on April 22, but he's also been linked by police to a Wednesday night robbery at the Wigland wig store located at Northeast 10th Avenue and Broadway.

At around 6:30 p.m. at Wigland, police said, Eno showed a knife, then tied up the employee in a back room.

The victim managed to untie himself and then struck Eno with a golf club before he ran out of the store toward the Lloyd Center mall, police said.

Police officers quickly canvassed the area and examined surveillance video from nearby stores to track Eno down at a Stanfords restaurant.

They arrested him without further incident.

Eno now faces two counts each of kidnapping and robbery.

Late last month, FOX 12 spoke with Andrea Angell, the owner of Little Things Jewelry Shop, who said the robber apologized while robbing her.

"He was remorseful and he was saying I'm sorry I'm doing this to you and I have a drug problem and I just need some cash," said Angell.

Eventually, Angell was able to free her hands and call 911.

Employees at Western Bike Works, a nearby bike shop, think the suspect later tried to help the victim.

Around 7:30 p.m., someone with a restricted number called the bike shop twice and told them the woman in the jewelry store was in trouble.

"We were informed that the woman across the street had locked herself in her store and that the keys were underneath the dumpster," said Patrick Bohan, from Western Bike Works.

When Bohan went to get the woman's keys, he noticed police pulling up and he pieced the incident together.

Eno will make his first court appearance Friday.
