Police need help identifying bank robbery suspect dubbed 'bad tan bandit'

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police are asking for help locating the suspect of a bank robbery in Southeast Portland.

Officers responded to reports of a bank robbery at the Bank of the West branch on Southeast Division right around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect demanded money and was given an undisclosed amount of money as well as a dye pack.

The dye pack exploded and the suspect is believed to have red ink on his body and clothing.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years old, 5'6" tall, thin build, short blond or light brown hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The suspect also had an orange band aid on his nose and appears to  have an artificial tan color to his skin.

If you know anything about this suspect you are asked to call 911.
