Reward offered for information in Portland strong-arm robbery

Crime Stoppers is now offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in an unsolved robbery that happened in northeast Portland in early May.

Portland police said someone committed robbery at the Maddy's at 11252 Northeast Sandy Boulevard at about 1:30 a.m. on May 1.

Investigators said the victim told officers he was playing video poker and had placed his winnings inside his wallet. The suspect came up behind the man, reached over him and grabbed the wallet out of the victim's hand.

Police said the two struggled over the wallet, but the suspect was able to wrestle it away from the victim and run out the door.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, 5'10" tall, 275 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect to assist in his identification.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
