Do you have any old zoo photos? If so, the Oregon Zoo wants to see them.
Administrators at the Oregon Zoo are asking for help compiling an exhibit for the zoo's 125th anniversary in November.
The community zoo was founded on Nov. 7, 1888. Zoo Director Kim Smith said while she isn't expecting to see any photos taken in 1888, coincidentally the year Kodak cameras were introduced, zoo workers are hoping to receive some gems.
To participate, take a photo of your old photo or piece of zoo memorabilia and upload it to the Oregon Zoo's Facebook page. You can also submit it through the zoo's Twitter and Instagram accounts, using the hashtag #zoo125.
People will then be able to vote for their favorites online.
The most popular submissions will be featured in an exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society in the fall.
The zoo will also select 125 winning photos based on originality and historical value, along with online votes, with winners receiving a stainless steel water bottle commemorating the 125th anniversary.
Photos must be submitted by noon on June 11.
