PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Hawaii police are searching for a missing Portland woman who vanished in Waikiki early Thursday, two days before her 29th birthday.

Ivanice Harris was to spend about two weeks in Hawaii to celebrate her birthday with her boyfriend and friend, Jillian Gibides.

She was last seen at 2:15 a.m. early Thursday morning talking to a man outside a bar on Lewers Street in Waikiki, according to her sister, Holley Watson.

"I think it's been hardest on my mom…they talk daily," Watson said.

After almost four days of silence, Watson says the family is worried something is seriously wrong. They have been spreading the word of Ivanice's disappearance on Facebook and plan to raise money to hire a private investigator and fly family members to Waikiki while the search continues.

Harris' boyfriend and friend are still there, helping Hawaii police with their investigation.

"I feel like she's alive and I feel like every minute counts," Gibides said. "So I feel like we need to find her before it's too late, you know. Like I know she's here, and I'm not leaving without her."
