Cliff Harris declines diversion program

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Cliff Harris was back in Washington County Court this afternoon. The former Oregon Duck football cornerback declined an offer to enter a diversion program.

Police arrested Harris in early May after he showed up nearly two hours late to a court date. A week earlier, he was arrested on allegations that he attacked his girlfriend in Hillsboro.

New Jersey Police also arrested Harris on marijuana charges in April, prompting the New York Jets to drop him from the team.

Harris will be back in court June 3 for a pre-trial hearing.
