Man damaged police car parked outside courthouse

OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -

Police are trying to track down the man who damaged a trooper's car outside the Clackamas County Courthouse.

The trooper was attending a court appearance between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. May 22. Surveillance video, as well as the car's dash cam, caught the suspect approaching the trooper's car parked in a lot off Railroad Avenue and Ninth Street in downtown Oregon City.

The damage is estimated at $1,200.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, about 6' tall and 180 pounds, wearing a brown or green hooded coat, a red ball cap and blue jeans.

He was walking a dog with a red leash at the time. Police said the suspect is associated with a late 90s white Ford SUV with no front bumper.
