Police: Battle Ground home invasion robbery, not random attack

BATTLE GROUND, WA (KPTV) -

Battle Ground Police officers are investigating a home invasion robbery.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of SW 17th Avenue.

"All of a sudden I came out to the front and there were cops and a fire truck out here. They were going in and out of that house," said Zach Uhacz, who lives nearby.

According to detectives, the initial investigation indicates that it was not a random attack.

They believe the suspects and victims know each other.

Those who live on the street say they're not too surprised to see police at the house because they do see a lot of traffic at the home.

"I'm retired and I'm home every day. I also walk everyday and you can't help notice what's going on in the neighborhood," said Lloyd Clemans, who lives a few homes away.

Police have released few details about the home invasion robbery.

"Other than people coming and going all the time, they keep to themselves for the most part," added Uhacz.

The Clark County Major Crimes Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Aaron Kanooth at 360-342-5254.
