PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Police Bureau is trying to track down a man suspected of breaking into a car, stealing a woman's purse and using the victim's credit card to buy TriMet passes.

The car prowl happened April 27 in the Liberty Centre parking garage, located at 650 Northeast Holladay St.

The victim told officers a car prowler had stolen her purse, which contained ID, credit cards, cash, a digital camera and prescription eyeglasses, police said.

The next day, officers learned the suspect used the victim's credit card to buy TriMet passes immediately after the car prowl at the Northeast 7th Avenue MAX platform, detectives told FOX 12.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, 5'9" tall and 170 pounds.

Surveillance pictures of him at the MAX platform released by police show he was wearing a plaid shirt, dark jeans and white shoes with black soles and white stripes.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case or any unsolved felony.
