A man wanted by police for exposing himself inside a Beaverton shopping center was caught after detectives said he exposed himself to a female passenger on a MAX train.
Beaverton police first took a report of a man exposing himself at the Canyon Place Shopping Center, Southwest 117th and Canyon Road, on May 21.
It was reported he would enter a business and ask for a safety pin because he had a problem with his pants. Police said he would then let his pants fall to the ground, exposing the naked lower half of his body.
He was later identified through TriMet security cameras as Peter Henderson, 41, of Hillsboro.
Henderson was arrested June 13 by a Beaverton officer assigned to TriMet's Transit Police Division. The officer said Henderson exposed himself on a MAX train.
He was booked in the Washington County Jail on the charge of felony public indecency.
TriMet believes Henderson is also responsible for another unsolved case. Fox 12 reported last month that Lincoln High School's principal sent a letter home to parents saying a man showed a female student a naked photo of himself on his phone while riding the bus May 10.
The man asked the girl to take his photograph. He then handed her a smartphone with a naked photo of himself on it, the email stated. The girl became disgusted and moved away to sit by her friend.
The man got off the bus several blocks later.
Transit police believe Henderson is the suspect in that case. It's not clear yet if he will face additional charges.
Beaverton police said there may be more victims who have not yet come forward. If you know anything about the suspect, call 503-629-0111.
