18-year-old shot multiple times in Portland drive-by shooting

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police are investigating a drive-by shooting in north Portland that sent a teenager to the hospital.

It happened at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 9000 block of North Floss Street. The victim, identified as Oscar Alvarez-Ramirez, 18, was found lying on the corner of North Alaska Street and Chautauqua Boulevard.

Police said Wednesday that Alvarez-Ramirez suffered multiple gunshot wounds and remains in the hospital. He is expected to survive.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating, but detectives said there is very little suspect information at this time.

The shooter's car is believed to have been driving eastbound on Alaska Street.
