Police are trying to track down a wanted man considered armed and dangerous, accused of committing four armed robberies of taxi drivers in Portland.

Police said Eric Russell, 29, robbed four cab drivers at knifepoint between March 24 and June 16.

It started at 3:30 a.m. March 24, when police said Russell arranged for a Broadway Cab to pick him up on the 16400 block of Northeast Glisan Street. The driver took him to the 17800 block of Northeast Oregon Street, when Russell threatened him with a knife and robbed him, according to investigators.

Similar crimes happened early in the morning June 7, the night of June 13 and again June 16.

None of the taxi drivers were physically harmed during the robberies. Russell got away with cash and two iPhones, according to police.

Detectives said Russell is a transient, but he has ties to Gresham and Portland. He is considered armed and dangerous.

If you know where he is, call 911 or Gresham police at 503-618-2719.
