Reports: Blazers trade for center Robin Lopez

Posted: Updated:

The Portland Trail Blazers have traded for center Robin Lopez, according to various reports.

ESPN reports the trade involves the New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings and Trail Blazers. The deal lands Lopez, who averaged 11.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season, in Portland.

In exchange, Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Blazers are trading away the draft rights to center Jeff Withey, who was taken in the second round of last week's NBA Draft, along with a future second-round pick.

Lopez was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. He played all 82 games last year for the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 26 minutes per game.
