SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Salem police are asking for help identifying a man who robbed the Maps Credit Union Friday morning.

The suspect entered the building, 1900 Hines St. S.E., just before 10 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was seen, according to police.

The man got away with cash.

He is described as a white man between 5'4" and 5'7." He weighed around 160 to 170 pounds with a lanky build and short messy hair dyed a dull dark green or purple.

He was wearing a baseball cap, jacket and T-shirt, all with bright colored designs on them. He also had baggie pants, and a string-top closure backpack that may have had a peace sign on the back.

There were no reports of injuries during the robbery.

If you recognize the suspect, call police at 503-540-2463.
