Ricky Exe's crime spree has been halted. He was arrested by Portland Police Friday afternoon on a second degree disorderly conduct charge. He is being held without bail at the Multnomah County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.

Salem police suspect him of burglarizing a home, carjacking an SUV and robbing a credit union. The crimes happened over a three-week period.

The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Ricky Exe Jr.

Police believe Exe's crime spree began in mid-June when he broke into a home in south Salem and stole thousands of dollars worth of guns, electronics, jewelry and clothing. Checks and social security cards were also stolen, the victim said.

The victim, Marika Greeley, told FOX 12 that she got home from an overnight trip to find that her home had been ransacked. Whoever broke in through a back door treated her home like a shopping mall, she said. She believes several people were involved.

A shotgun similar to the one stolen from Greeley's home was used to carjack a 2002 Ford Expedition near Lancaster and Sunnyview Northeast at around 2:30 a.m. on June 15, police said.

On July 5, police say Exe robbed the Maps Credit Union along Hines Street Southeast. He passed a note to the clerk indicating it was a robbery, then took off with some cash.

"Scary. Absolutely scary," Greeley said. "Not only scary for me, but for the potential future victims. If he's on a spree, I can only imagine where he's going with it. And he's not going to stop until he gets stopped."

Greeley, who knows Exe, says the hardest part of dealing with what happened is wondering why Exe allegedly stole irreplaceable items that belonged to her children.

"I want to know that my children are safe," Greeley said. "That's ultimately... ultimately what I care about."

Since the burglary, Greeley has installed a security system. She also has a 100-pound dog on her property at all times.

Records obtained by FOX 12 show Exe has an extensive criminal history, including convictions tied to theft and drug-related charges.
