VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

At only 14 years old, a Vancouver teenager is being called a hero by Clark County deputies after he stopped a man much bigger than himself from allegedly assaulting a woman on Northeast 107th Avenue on Sunday.

Henry Armstrong was walking home with some friends when he saw two people pulled off the side of the road having a loud argument.

Armstrong told deputies he saw the man push the woman and walked over to help.

When he questioned the man, 24-year-old Hector Nunez, Armstrong said he was punched square in the jaw.

"He tried to hit me again. He swung, and I grabbed his fist and pushed him away," Armstrong said.

Deputies arrived moments later and arrested Nunez.

He pleaded guilty to Assault 4 on Monday, receiving community service and a $300 fine.

Armstrong was taken to the hospital in an ambulance where doctors said he had a fractured jaw.
