The TriMet driver stabbed earlier this week is speaking out about what happened.
Fadi Hamad was stabbed after he says told a man he couldn't use an employee restroom.
The stabbing happened on Wednesday afternoon outside one of the TriMet's break rooms on Southeast 94th and Foster.
The driver says he had stopped to a take a quick break and was leaving to get back on his route.
Hamad says that's when a man showed up and demanded to use the bathroom.
Hamad refused and he says the suspect got angry, cursed at him and then pulled out a knife.
"I didn't know where this knife came from. He stabbed me right away in my chest, and that's when I was speechless. You know, there were so many pictures start going through my head, my mom, my dad. I just didn't know what to say," said Hamad.
He said the suspect also stabbed him in the stomach and took off, leaving the knife behind.
Hamad was able to pull the knife out just as co-workers called for help.
Hamad said he is glad he survived and is now recovering, but he hopes police catch that suspect soon before he attacks someone else.
