EAGLE CREEK, OR (KPTV) -

A wild crash where a van landed upside down on the bed of a pickup truck caused significant damage, but no injuries Tuesday morning.

State police said 21-year-old Jace Bateman was driving north on Highway 211 near Eagle Creek in his 2002 Ford pickup when the crash happened.

Towing a flatbed trailer behind him, Bateman's pickup crested at the top of a hill and collided into the driver's side of a Dodge van trying to cross the highway from east to west.

After impact, the truck and van ended up on the east side of the highway with the van on its top resting against the back of the pickup, trailer and a power pole.

Bateman and the van driver, 30-year-old Elizabeth Ramirez, were both wearing seat belts and were not injured.

Police said Bateman was driving a Clackamas County government-owned truck loaded with highway advisory signs.

State police investigated the crash while PGE and Frontier Communications crews assessed damage to electrical and phone lines.
