Posted: Updated:

Deputies are asking for the public's help identifying a man found dead in the Columbia River.

The body was discovered near Hayden Island in the evening of July 18. He is described as a white man wearing a long-sleeved blue zip-up hooded jacket, black pants and black shoes.

The words "Dev-l Dog" were tattooed on his upper left arm, with a "-" in place of the "i," along with multiple other tattoos.

Investigators believe he may have recently been released from the hospital prior to his death. However, it's believed he had been dead for several months.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Rian Hakala with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office at 503-251-2402.
