PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two children were saved from sex trafficking as part of a two-day sting in the Portland-metro area.

The FBI said four local pimps were arrested, while a fifth suspected pimp was identified, as part of the national Operation Cross Country. More than a dozen local, state and federal agencies were involved in the Portland-area operation.

Along with the two children victims, investigators said they also picked up 13 adult women. The women will likely face local prostitution charges, but the FBI said they were all offered the opportunity to access help through victim services and social service agencies.

One baby was recovered during the sting and placed in state custody. The baby was not identified as a victim of sex trafficking.

The operation came just one week after a Multnomah County judge sentenced Sirgiorgio Clardy to 100 years in prison.

Clardy was arrested in Beaverton in June 2012 as part of a previous Operation Cross Country sting. The court classified him as a "dangerous offender" based on the seriousness of his crimes and other factors.

Investigators said he badly beat an 18-year-old he was forcing into prostitution. He also attacked a john so severely the man required surgery.

Nationwide, the operation recovered 105 children involved in sex trafficking in 76 cities.
