The Columbia County Sheriff'sOffice has identified a man killed in a motorcycle crash.
Deputies say that 36-year-old Aaron Chappell of St. Helens was killed Monday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on Ross Road Near Millard Road in Columbia County.
Deputies responded to the scene at around 5:30 Monday night. A witness on the scene was administering CPR to the Chappell when EMS arrived. A Lifeflight helicopter also arrived, but Chappell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies are considering speed and the possible presence of intoxicants as potential contributing factors to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
