KEIZER, OR (KPTV) -

A woman in a wheelchair was hit and pinned under the bumper of a pickup in Keizer Wednesday morning.

It happened at 11:40 a.m. at River Road North and Juedes Avenue.

Officers arrived to find Rachell Lehmann on the ground below a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Dean Bartell.

Bartell told officers he stopped at the intersection and looked to his right before concentrating to his left for oncoming traffic. He said when he started to go, he hit Lehmann, who was in a crosswalk.

Lehmann suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Salem Hospital for evaluation, according to police. Bartell was cited for failing to stop and remain stopped for a pedestrian.
