VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A 42-year-old man surrendered to police after a standoff Friday morning in Vancouver.

Officers said they responded to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at a home in the 3100 block of East 18th Street.

Two men who live there had an argument and the suspect used a knife to cut the victim's hand, police said.

The victim left the apartment, but Scott Martin barricaded himself inside his apartment.

Officers arrived and made contact with Martin. Eventually, a SWAT team talked him into surrendering and police took him into custody.

Martin was booked in the Clark County Jail a on charge of second-degree assault.
