LEBANON, OR (KPTV) -

Two men arrested in Utah are accused of murdering a Lebanon man whose body was found at a remote campsite.

The parents of 48-year-old Wayne Klavano found his body Tuesday in an area off Upper Soda Fork Road about 12 miles north of Highway 20. He had an appointment scheduled in Lebanon that afternoon. When he didn't arrive, his parents went to his campsite to check on him.

On Thursday, Linn County detectives learned that two men were arrested near Brigham City, UT, by highway patrol troopers on charges unrelated to the Oregon investigation.

The Utah Highway Patrol seized evidence that investigators said linked the two men to Klavano's murder. Details about the evidence are not being released at this time.

Daniel Armbrecht, 20, of Pargosa Springs, CO, and Travis Powers, 23, of Windsor, CO, both remain in custody in Utah. Linn County Circuit Court warrants were issued for their arrest. They will stay in Utah pending extradition to Oregon after their Utah criminal charges are addressed.

Powers has ties to Linn County, according to detectives, but had been living in Colorado.

Investigators have not yet revealed a motive in this case.

Klavano was shot and killed, according to deputies. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent a considerable amount of time camping in the Cascade Mountain Range of eastern Linn County making a living as a trapper.
