PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash involving a motorcycle Sunday night.

The crash happened in the Centennial neighborhood of Southeast Portland just before 9:30 p.m. on Southeast Division Street just west of 148th Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian who was taken to an area hospital. The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Southeast Division was closed between 145th and 148th avenues while they investigated what happened.

A witness who saw the crash said that intersection of Southeast Division Street has been known as a bad spot for years.

Norm Gotovac told FOX 12 the crash happened so fast that the motorcyclist probably didn't have time to even react before hitting the pedestrian.
