A Woodburn man was stabbed to death at an apartment complex and his killer is on the loose.

Paramedics found Juan Pedro Bravo Luna, 23, with severe stab wounds at 2:45 a.m. Sunday. Police have not yet released many details, but witnesses don't believe this was a random attack.

Candles and flowers now mark the spot where Luna was found at 1590 James St.

"When I opened the door, that's when I saw him on the floor right there," said neighbor Vicky Rangel. "He was bleeding and screaming and asking for help and saying he was dying."

Neighbors called 911 and Luna was rushed to Silverton Hospital where he died.

Another witness said Luna was drinking in the parking lot with a few guys he works with. The neighbor said they seemed to be getting along, but that changed in a hurry.

"I seen them hitting each other and they grabbed beer bottles and they were hitting each other with beer bottles," said Jose Maldonado.

Maldonado said they appeared to be drunk and stumbling.

Detectives are still searching for more information about the suspects. If you know anything about this case, call Woodburn police at 503-982-2345.
