CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Councilman Polensek is encouraging the community to assist in finding the individuals who assaulted John Rager on E. 152nd Street.

Mr. Rager was severely beaten on his way home from work in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 14th along E. 152nd Street in Cleveland's Ward 10.

Mr. Rager, who almost died as a result of the attack, may be permanently disabled.

"This horrendous attack should outrage all greater Clevelanders," said Councilman Polensek. "We as a city cannot stand by and allow this kind of cruel and brutal act of violence to go unchallenged."

Anyone wishing to contribute to the reward fund can contact Councilman Polensek's office.

In addition, the "John Rager Victim's Fund" fund has been established to assist the Rager family through the difficult times ahead.

Anyone wishing to donate can do so at any Key Bank.
