GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

Shots rang out when an argument spilled into the streets outside a Gresham bar early Sunday morning.

Witnesses at Andrew's Watering Hole Sports Bar and Grill on Southeast Stark Street told police that a verbal argument between two groups of men started inside the bar.

It spilled outside, where the two groups opened fire on each other. Accounts from witnesses varied from anywhere between five and 12 shots being fired. Some of the bullets hit the exterior of the bar.

Gresham police were dispatched to the area at 12:30 a.m. after getting reports of the gunshots. They arrived within one minute of the call, but the two groups of men had already fled the area.

No one is believed to have been injured a result of the gun battle.

Police do not have the names of any of the suspects. They described them as being Hispanic and in their 20s. The East Metro Gang Enforcement Team is investigating because police said the suspects are in gangs.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 503-618-2719.
