Heroin seized, three arrested in Vancouver drug bust

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Three people are behind bars and one pound of heroin is off the street thanks to the work of the Clark-Vancouver Regional Drug Task Force.

Sheriff's deputies conducted two drug buys on Tuesday resulting in the arrests. The first buy happened in the 9500 block of SE French Road in Vancouver. Antonia Barrera-Marquez, 32, of Portland was arrested by detectives after delivering heroin. He was booked at the Clark County Jail for delivery of a controlled substance.

The second buy occurred near the intersection of NE 132nd Avenue and NE 32nd Street in Vancouver later that evening. Jose Rodriguez-Armenta, 27, of Vancouver and Edilberto Alvarez-Ruiz, 25, of Mount Vernon were arrested. Both were booked at the Clark County Jail for delivery of a controlled substance.

In all, about one pound of heroin was seized. The total street value of the drugs was about $16,000.
