OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -

Police have released a sketch they hope will lead to the arrest of a man buying iPhones with counterfeit $100 bills.

Officers said the suspect responded to a Craigslist ad selling an iPhone 5 for $500 on Aug. 15. The man gave the seller five $100 bills after meeting in an Oregon City parking lot. The victim discovered they were fake when she tried to deposit them at the bank.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said there have been other similar cases recently that may involve the same suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man, 18 to 25 years old and standing 6' tall. He had light brown hair and distinctive ear piercings.

If you recognize the man in the sketch, call the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tip line at 503-723-4949 or go to www.clackamas.us/sheriff/forms/tip.html.
