AVON, Ind., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wellbrooke of Avon, the new Center for Health and Wellness located on 10th Street just across from Indiana University Health West Hospital, will celebrate its grand opening with an invitation-only ribbon cutting on Wednesday, September 18 (4-7 pm) and a public open house on Thursday, September 19 (3-6 pm).
The brand-new Wellbrooke of Avon is an innovative approach to the design and delivery of health care services for a new generation. The 66,350-square-foot community will offer 30 service-rich assisted living apartments and 70 private and companion suites for those in need of top-of-the-line rehabilitative care or long-term care. The handsomely appointed design and hotel-like environment will be comfortable and engaging with concierge-style delivery of services and amenities such as four different dining venues, a movie theater, fitness center, on-site hair salon and more. Wellbrooke of Avon accepts Medicare and private insurance, as well as private pay, and welcomes admissions 7 days a week.
Elected officials and representatives from the Avon Chamber of Commerce are scheduled to attend, along with Wellbrooke of Avon partners Mainstreet and LCS to celebrate the occasion. The Center will welcome guests from Avon and the surrounding communities for personal tours on Thursday, September 19 from 3-6 pm.
"The interest from the business community and the citizens of Avon has been outstanding and we're so appreciative," said Wellbrooke of Avon General Manager Brian Lane. "Seeing the finished product, and the reactions of those touring for the first time, will be exciting. I've had so many people comment to me already that it is unlike anything they've ever seen before."
"This is a wonderful time for Wellbrooke of Avon," said Lane. "We are beginning to welcome residents to our service-rich assisted living apartments and long-term care suites, and guests to our rehabilitative care suites. The unanimous response has been one of great appreciation for our intense focus on hospitality-driven health and wellness services."
"Our goal with Wellbrooke of Avon is to create a unique community where seniors can receive the quality care they expect while living in a place they can really enjoy," Zeke Turner, CEO of Mainstreet said. "Baby boomers are demanding the kind of high-end, hospitality-oriented amenities that Wellbrooke of Avon offers. This is a meaningful paradigm shift and just one of the many Centers we are building to transform the industry across the United States."
Wellbrooke of Avon is a joint venture of Mainstreet and Life Care Services, who will manage the community. Life Care Services has more than 40 years of experience in senior living service and care delivery.
