PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police say a drunken driver smashed several cars in southeast Portland early Thursday morning.

The impact also took out a chain-link fence and sheared a power pole in two.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. along Southeast 101st Avenue and Harold Street.

Nobody was hurt, but neighbors said six cars suffered damage.

One resident woke up to the sound of breaking glass and he found two cars in his front yard.

Stephen Cvar told FOX 12 that the suspect took off on foot before being arrested a couple blocks away.

Cvar also said that the front wall of his living room was pushed in about a foot after the impact of a truck was pushed into his home.

Officers identified the suspect as 25-year-old Jeffrey Curran, whose 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer was found sitting in the front yard of a home near the intersection.

Curran now faces charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving and reckless endangerment.

A crew with PGE arrived to replace the power pole around 6:30 a.m.
