COOS BAY, OR (KPTV) -

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to help investigators track down the person who left two homemade bombs at a Coos Bay Park and at the Prayer Chapel.

On the evening of Aug. 22, a bomb blew up at the base of the Mingus Park Vietnam War Memorial.

On Sept. 3, someone placed another homemade bomb inside the Prayer Chapel at Second Street and Commercial Avenue.

Firefighters and bomb technicians were able to disrupt that explosive before it went off.

It is not known if the same person or group is responsible for both bombs, the FBI said.

The Coos Bay Police Department released a sketch of a person believed to have been in the vicinity of the Prayer Chapel shortly before the bomb was found.

Witnesses described that person as a white man, approximately 55 years old, 5'6" to 5'7" tall, and about 150 pounds with a shaved head.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI or the Coos Bay Police Department.
