Two teens were arrested Monday after police said they ran away from a car reported stolen earlier that day.

A Keizer police officer spotted the 1998 Honda Civic near the intersection of Wheatland Road North and Wheatland Lane North at 1:38 p.m.

The car was reported stolen to the Tualatin Police Department at 8:13 a.m. Monday.

The officer said the two people inside the car saw him, and took off running.

Several officers then responded and caught one of the suspects, a 15-year-old boy from Tigard. He has been charged with one count of conspiracy.

A K-9 from the Salem Police Department was called to the scene and found the second suspect hiding near a home on the 7000 block of Cedar Falls Court North. He was identified as Julio Mina, 18, of Tualatin.

Police said Mina tried to run and was bitten by the K-9. He was transported to Salem Hospital for treatment of bite wounds.

Mina is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and interfering with a police offices. Additional charges may be pending in this case.
