Dozens of teens were cited after police broke up a loud party in Lake Oswego.
Police and Oregon Liquor Control Commission agents handed out about 60 minor in possession tickets Saturday night.
Many of the underage drinkers were from Lewis and Clark College, according to investigators, but several were under the age of 17. That included one 17-year-old girl who police found passed out in the basement.
That girl was rushed to the hospital. Her condition was not immediately available, but police said her situation does not appear to be life-threatening.
"I'm just glad police got there when they did. Kids these days don't think it's that serious but it's extremely serious," said Cindy Rockwell, one of the neighbors who called police. "I don't know what happened to that girl … but she could have died."
Neighbors said the 1300 block of Knaus Road is usually a quiet neighborhood. On Saturday night, however, people poured into one house by the taxi-load. At one point, a neighbor speculated as many as 300 people were at the home.
When officers arrived to investigate the initial noise complaint, they found so many people that backup was requested from the OLCC.
Agents then found several people drinking in the street and said it was obvious they weren't 21 years old.
A FOX 12 crew knocked on the home's door Tuesday and a young man who identified himself as a friend of the renters said people should wait for all the facts to come out before judging the situation.
Three adults were cited on charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor and providing a place for minors to consume alcohol. They are Liam Healey, 22; Matthew Cathcart, 21; and Corey Davis, 21.
Because they were cited and not arrested, booking photos are not available.
