An Alaska Airlines flight had to turn around and head back to Portland International Airport Tuesday night after lightning struck the plane.
According to an airline representative, the lightning bolt hit the hose and propeller of the turbo prop plane headed to Spokane.
The plane had only been in the air for about 10 minutes, so the crew decided to go back to Portland just to make sure everything was safe.
FOX 12 was told there were no mechanical problems and none of the 70 people onboard was hurt.
