Detectives investigate double stabbing in Orchards
ORCHARDS, WA (KPTV) -
One woman is dead, and a man was sent to the hospital, after being stabbed multiple times at a home in the 8700 block of Northeast 89th Avenue in Clark County.
A spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the home shortly after 4 a.m. after someone called 911 to report a disturbance.
When deputies arrived they found an "extremely agitated" man outside, who then ran inside the house.
Police chased the man inside the home where he became combative. It took seven deputies to restrain the man. One deputy was wounded in the fight, and went to the hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
While they were inside the home deputies found the two stabbing victims. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the other, male victim was transported to a local hospital. The severity of his injuries were unknown.
The relationships between the combative man and the stabbing victims are unknown, and none of the identities were released.
Major Crimes Team investigators planned to be at the home much of Saturday, collecting evidence and processing the scene.
More information is expected to be released later.
