VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A semi truck slammed into a bike path on Interstate 205's Glenn Jackson Bridge and caused major delays Monday.

The crash took place about 500 feet south of the Oregon-Washington border shortly after noon. Washington State Patrol said no pedestrians or bike riders were injured.

The semi truck was the only vehicle involved. Paramedics took the driver to the hospital, but the extent of his or her injuries is currently unknown.

There were significant delays heading southbound and northbound as a result of the crash, and police recommend using an alternate route, such as Interstate 5, to get around the I-205 wreck.

By 3:20 p.m., the truck had been towed from the scene and all lanes over the Glenn Jackson Bridge were open again.
