Portland police are asking for help tracking down a missing 73-year-old man with various medical and mental health issues.
Norris Newman walked away from his care facility on the 12700 block of Southeast Holgate Street early Monday morning.
Newman is not his own legal guardian and police said he suffers from various ailments, including mild dementia. If left untreated, Norris could be in danger.
Police said this is the second time Newman has been reported missing this month. Investigators said he has been able to circumvent security measures put in place to stop him from leaving his secure residential facility.
Newman is a white man, 5'7" and 180 pounds with thinning gray hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses and is missing all his teeth.
If you see him, you're asked not to approach him. Instead, call 911 right away. If you have any other details about this case, call Detective Mike Weinstein at 503-823-0446.
