Long-lost siblings reunite after learning they're both in Navy

SAN DIEGO, CA (KPTV) -

After 30 years, a pair of siblings were reunited in California on Friday after learning they were both in the Navy.

Cindy Murray and Robert Williamson shared a hug for the first time since they were kids.

The two were separated in the late 1970s, but they both said they never stopped looking for each other.

Murray said she searched Facebook and even tried a "People Search," but she could never find her brother.

She finally reached out to her father, who told her Robert Williamson was in the Navy too.

Murray's chief petty officer tracked down Williamson and called him within minutes.

"Never in a million years did I think I would be standing here in this situation," Williamson said.

"He's never left my mind, ever. I always wanted to find him, and now I have," Murray said.

Since the phone call two months ago, the siblings have been talking on the phone and emailing, but they said they still have plenty of catching up to do.
