OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -

Emergency workers didn't have to go far when a truck slammed into a building near Oregon City.

That's because the pickup hit Clackamas Fire District #1's Station 11.

A 21-year-old man was driving down Henrici Road Friday when he said his brakes went out, according to firefighters. He crashed through the garage door of the station at 18265 S. Redland Road.

The fire engine that is normally parked right where the crash happened was out on a call at the time.

No firefighters were hurt and the driver was OK.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.

An open house was scheduled at the station for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, but it will be postponed due to the crash. Service to the area is not being affected, however.
