FBI: Bank robber wore same jacket in Springfield, Tualatin robberies

The FBI and Springfield Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a serial bank robber.

Investigators believe the same man may responsible for two robberies in Oregon in recent weeks.

On Tuesday, a man entered the US Bank branch on Mohawk Boulevard in Springfield carrying what appeared to be a long gun wrapped in a blanket. The man approached the teller's desk, demanded cash and left on foot.

Investigators believe he is the same person who was involved in a similar robbery on Sept. 5 at a Bank of the West branch in Tualatin. The suspect is believed to be wearing the same hooded jacket in both robberies and the physical descriptions are almost identical.  

Witnesses described the suspect as:
  • White male
  • Age: 35-50 years old
  • Height:  5'10"-6'0"
  • Weight: 210 pounds
  • Clothes: Green and white plaid jacket with a gray hood and mirrored sunglasses
