Posted: Updated:
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland coffee company is celebrating its 40th birthday by giving out free coffee at its two cafes.

Kobos Coffee, founded back in 1972, was a pioneer in Portland's micro-roasting scene and helped  make Portland a renowned coffee city.

Kobos will serve up an anniversary blend of its coffee at the following locations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

  • 2355 NW Vaughn Street
  • 200 SW Market Street

Though it has been 40 years since its launch, Kobos is still family owned and operated.
