YCSO: 3 siblings killed in Chino Valley crash

PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -

Three siblings were killed in an apparent head-on collision in Chino Valley Wednesday morning, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said.    

The victims were identified as siblings Julianna Hersh, 23; Jeremiah Hersh, 13; and 9-year-old Jess Hersh.

Julianna Hersh and Jess Hersh were pronounced dead at the scene. Jeremiah Hersh was transported to a hospital in Phoenix, where he died. Joseph Hersh, 15, was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center, treated and released. The Hersh family is from Chino Valley.

The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 63-year-old Elaine Anderson of Prescott. She was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center and is expected to survive.

The exact cause of the accident remains under active investigation.
