Police in Tacoma, WA locate endangered kids and mom

LEBANON, OR (KPTV) -

A mother and her two kids sought by police were located Saturday evening, hundreds of miles from where they were last seen.

The Lebanon Police Department said it was officers in Tacoma, WA who made contact with Danielle Michelle Roulstin, 29, and her two kids at a hotel in town.

The children were uninjured, safe and have been placed in protective custody until they are returned to Lebanon.

Police were concerned for the children's safety after they got reports that Roulstin took her two daughters, an 8-year-old and a 5-month-old around 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Investigators said they were concerned for the children's safety because Roulstin had been dealing with mental health issues that would have possibly put her children at risk of serious harm.
