PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Fire and Rescue crews pulled two people from a crash on Southwest Macadam Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Crews said the crash happened sometime near 2:10 a.m. on Macadam near Curry Street.

As of Wednesday morning, investigators were working to figure out what caused the crash.

They said the car left the roadway and hit several objects, trapping two people inside.

Firefighters were forced to remove the entire roof of the car to get the people out.

Paramedics took both people to a hospital. Their names and condition were unknown Wednesday morning.

The Macadam crash was the second pin-in crash firefighters were called to overnight.

Just after rush hour Tuesday, a woman was struck and trapped beneath a MAX train until firefighters were able to rescue her.

Paramedics took that woman to Emanuel Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
