TILLAMOOK, OR (KPTV) -

A Tillamook teenager is facing charges after troopers say he stole guns, a truck and then led state police on a chase before crashing on the side of a highway.

Jacob Mallare, 18, was arrested early Wednesday morning. Officers say it all started after Mallare refused to pull over on Highway 101 north of Tillamook. In the ensuing chase, Mallare crashed off of the highway after police used spike strips.

They say the truck he was driving was stolen, along with a rifle and handgun found inside it. Mallare now faces a number of charges including felony attempt to elude, theft and reckless driving.
