ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

Deputies have identified the man who was killed when his car, traveling in excess of 100 mph, hit a tree and then a wall in Aloha early Thursday morning.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says Nicholas Walrath, 26, of Aloha, was the only person in the car when it crashed along Southwest 185th at Southwest Pheasant Lane at 2:50 a.m.

Deputies said the Honda was unrecognizable after breaking through the cinderblock wall.

The preliminary investigation indicates the driver was going at least 100 mph heading north on Southwest 185th when he lost control. Debris from the car was scattered across all five lanes of the road, according to deputies.

No other details were immediately available.
