40 warrants issued in drug roundup in Sabine, DeSoto and Red River parishes

SABINE PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Sabine, DeSoto and Red River Parish deputies have issued warrants for at least 40 people as part of a drug roundup, and more than half of them have been arrested.

Sabine Parish Detention Center began actively rounding up drug dealing suspects in the area early Wednesday morning by the Natchitoches Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force.

At least 20 arrest warrants were issued in Sabine Parish. So far, 17 of them have been taken into custody. In addition to the arrests, authorities say they have seized large amounts of cash, marijuana,  meth, cocaine and prescription drugs.

Officials say 20 arrest warrants have also been issued in DeSoto Parish. There are an unknown number of warrants out for suspects in Red River Parish.

Below is the list of the arrests made so far in Sabine Parish. The names of those arrested in DeSoto and Red River parishes have not yet been released.
