BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

A search warrant was served at the Beaverton home of three people convicted of animal neglect who were ordered not to own any more dogs.

Officers removed two pit bulls from the home on Southwest 11th Street in Beaverton Thursday.

Beaverton police said they have responded to that address 54 times since Dec. 15, 2012, on calls including domestic disturbances, noise complaints, animal complaints and drug reports.

Stanford Evans, 60, Darlene Exendine, 49, and Stephen Young, 37, were all arrested in August 2012 after a neighbor reported seeing dogs beaten with a hammer and a shovel. Ten pit bulls were removed from the home at that time.

All three pleaded guilty to animal neglect charges, while Young also pleaded guilty to animal abuse.

As part of their sentences, they were ordered to not own animals for a set period of time. All three were arrested again Thursday on charges of prohibition against possession of a domestic animal and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Police said their home does not currently have power, water or sanitary sewer service. The living conditions were described as "unsanitary" with evidence of drug use.

Evans, the property owner, was also served with papers from Beaverton Code Enforcement Thursday for violations of city building codes and having a dangerous building.

The two female dogs removed from the home did not appear to be injured, police said. They were taken to the Washington County Animal Shelter.

The previous rescued pit bulls were treated and adopted to new homes.
